Top 5 Vape Pens

Top 5 Vape Pens

Are you a mod user? Perhaps you’ve only used pod systems so far? Have you ever considered one of the pen style vape mods? Well, even if you haven’t, we’ve got an exciting new article today. The top 5 pen style vape mods. We’ll explain what features they bring to the table, the cost, and even our #1 favorite from the list. Let’s jump right into it!

First on our list is the Joyetech Ego AIO Starter Kit. This handy low price pen mod is great for the beginner vaper. It comes with two coils and a usb charger, so for as low as $5.74 per week*, this all in one (AIO) mod is just a solid starter for anyone entering the vape world. It also features a built in 2 ml tank, airflow control, and a child proof cap which is an interesting and welcome quality of life improvement. One interesting little design they added is a color changing light. The light comes on when you vape and also will blink in different ways to notify you of battery level. It also has airflow control in case you don’t want to be locked in to a single air flow option. All around, this is one of the best devices  you can get for the price, and a solid recommendation if you are trying to recommend a first device to a friend, or you yourself are considering picking up vaping.

Second we have the Smok Stick Prince Starter Kit. This is another rather simple device, but it provides the power that you may expect from a bigger, more customizable mod. It features a built in 3000 MAH battery with a usb charging port and accompanying charging cable. It also comes with the Smok Prince Tank, which is a pretty awesome tank apart from this kit, and definitely lends to the success of this starter kit. It has a wide bore, 810 size, cobra design drip tip which is becoming more and more popular in the industry. It also includes two .17 sub ohm coils, and built in safety features such as auto shut off after 8 seconds of firing. The only downside is it doesn’t have any adjustable wattage, so the power will depend on how charged the battery is. When fully charged, this pen style mod is an absolute powerhouse. The vapor production easily rivals any fully adjustable mod, and can even be said to rival dual or triple battery setups. The tank itself has a bubble glass design that holds a whopping 8 ml of juice at a time, which is good because with this setup this mod really chuggs juice. A great starter like the Joyetech Ego AIO, this is very much a build and go setup with little to no knowledge required (aside from knowing how to prime a coil) and great for beginners to start blowing those huge clouds. With payments as low as $10.74 per week*, you’re paying a bit more than the Joyetech, but you’re also getting a lot more bang for your buck with the tank that you can remove and use on another device, and the considerable power of this monster of a battery.

Third we have Smok Vape Pen 22 Light Edition Starter Kit. This is another great starter device with a great price tag of $5.24 per week*, the only downside compared to the joyetech is it isn’t quite as user friendly. Don’t get me wrong, it’s much easier than most mod devices, it’s just not quite as plug and play as the joyetech AIO. This kit features two coils, a charging cable, and bonus o-rings to change the light up color and change the color of your o-rings for a bit of a customizable option. The tank is technically built in as you can’t remove it to use on another device, but it does come off the top so it isn’t entirely a fixed tank. The bubble style tank can hold 4ml and is top fill which is a new feature since the Smok Vape Pen 22 original. There isn’t any air flow adjustments but it is already preset with a solid setting that shouldn’t be a problem for anyone trying this mod out. The vapor production is surprisingly powerful for such a small device and definitely stands up against more powerful mods like the Smok Stick Prince, but with the added benefit of being less than half the price.

SMOK SLM Kit

Fourth on the list we have the Smok SLM Kit. This is a unique option on our list as it’s the only pod system we’ve provided here as it is still a pen style mod. With a staggeringly low price of $3.28 per week*, this pod system is definitely the most affordable option in our top 5. This is not a cloud producing mod, it’s definitely more discreet and there to get you the nicotine in the simplest way possible. The kit includes a usb charger and two total .8ml pods along with the mod itself. While it is not as popular as the Juul by any means, it is compared regularly to the Juul with popularity results often leaning toward the Smok SLM. A handy and inexpensive device, this is definitely the go to choice if you’re looking for the simplest pen design just to deliver the nicotine you need.

SMOK Twister

Now coming in at number five, we have the Freemax Twister 80W Starter Kit. The only reason this one is in the number five slot and not the number one is simply because it’s popularity at this time doesn’t match the sales on the other four devices, but we would be remiss if we didn’t tell you that this is by far our favorite device in this list. The Freemax Twister comes with the Fireluke Mesh v2 Sub Ohm Tank, one of the best tanks on the market. The coils are fantastic and we have many reports from our team here and from customers that the coil life is astounding. If you want a coil that will last you a week of hard vaping and taste like new, this is the tank for you, and the best part is it comes with this terrific device. As for the Freemax Twister itself, it comes in a range of awesome colored graffiti styles, with a wide bore tip. It’s a single battery device that includes a battery indicator in the fire button (Green = 65-100% battery, yellow = 30-65% battery, red = 1-30% battery) which is just a great quality of life feature. This is also a bit unique in that it is variable wattage, there is a very apparent built-to-last quality wattage adjuster at the bottom of the device, you can spin it and it will click into place every 5 watts you adjust it ranging from 1w to 80w. Due to the design only accommodating one battery, you are likely going to have to recharge or swap out batteries halfway through your day, but that’s the price you pay for using a convenient one battery style mod. The flavor is excellent on the tank, the mod feels sturdy and like it should last you years of hard vaping, and the design is beautiful. We definitely give this a 10/10 in this category due to it’s amazing cost to benefit ratio at $13.90 per week*, and simply including the Fireluke Mesh was just the perfect combination for a really cool stick/pen style vape mod.
