FDA Regulations Roadmap - How are regulations going to affect you?

This information has been superseded by the PACT ACT, state flavor bans and ever more rigorous efforts to deny adult vapers access to the products they prefer. 

There have been a lot of questions floating around regarding what’s going on with upcoming FDA vaping regulations. First of all, there’s no need to panic! Everything that is currently on the market will remain for at least 2 years. 

Here’s a roadmap to help guide you in the right direction.

May 10, 2016 | Regulations officially publicized

Preparation Period: 90 Day window to continue selling and allowing new products to enter the market.

August 8, 2016 | All shops are required to verify customers age

Compliance Period: All existing products may be sold. No NEW products without FDA approval may be released for sale.

August 8, 2018 | Only FDA Approved Products allowed on the market

September 7, 2018 | Health label enforcement begins

Enforcement Period

2019 | FDA enforcement begins for all vaping products
