But the real question is, what is it exactly that keeps Corben running? The answer to that is his 2½-year-old pitbull, Commander.

“I adopted Commander from the Animal Foundation in North Las Vegas,” Corben said. Since then, the two are inseparable. “He’s super good at playing fetch,” he said. When Corben goes out on his longboard, Commander is there for the ride and pulls him along. “He loves to chew rawhide and play with other dogs at the dog park,” he continued, mentioning Commander’s status as a social butterfly in the canine world.

Commander is a super smart dog and that’s always a plus. “He knows a lot of tricks and he keeps learning new ones,” Corben said. One particular silly thing he loves to do is chase the hose in the backyard, especially when it’s hot out. “He likes to swim and play tug of war and hide and seek too!” Corben added.
